ABOUT
JEN POP
Jen Pop co-founded The Bombpops in San Diego. Their 2020 album Death in Venice Beach came out via Fat Wreck Chords the day the world shut down, caught the attention of NPR, and the fans never really left. She then flew to Philadelphia, sat down with producer Will Yip, and made East Side of Eden, which had nothing to do with punk and didn't pretend otherwise.
She has been playing acoustic ever since, her own songs, other people's songs, whatever she feels like. Borrowed & Blue, out June 6th, is a collection of songs she has been playing live for years and finally decided to record. Two originals, covers of The Mountain Goats, Pat Benatar, and NOFX, plus reimagined versions of a couple Bombpops songs and one from East Side of Eden. Recorded in her bedroom. No click track. Notre Dame, lifted from Death in Venice Beach, drops digitally the same day.
She is packing up her life and moving to Ireland. She has new material to get to.
